“We were thinking that perhaps there were no coyotes here, or at least they didn't know about us. Likewise the dogs. We found out otherwise quickly! I buried the afterbirth from the lambing in the front yard. It was dug up in the morning. A road killed bird in front of our house was devoured the first night all but the wings. We've been hearing the coyotes just outside our property at night, and one night a dog pack was howling in the street in front of our house! No tracks anywhere near our paddock, no digging along our fenceline (like the goat farm up the block that has dogs,) no one even comes CLOSE while "the Moofasanator" is on patrol!”
